Moto Kinetic Jewellery
Science and Technology through jewellery design on energy crisis. This design illustrates ethically sourced materials and contributes to the movement towards sustainable products and energy production.
Insight: South Africa is currently experiencing on energy crisis. Along with many environmental concerns, sustainable products have become the way forward. Consumers are unaware of small ways in which they can make an impact.
Execution: Faraday’s Law suggest that when the magnetic flux linking a circuit changes, an electromotive force induced in the proportional to the rate of the change the flux linkage. In simple terms, a charge can be induced with a copper coil though the movement exerted by a magnet. The force that is induced can be stored in a form of a capacitor or battery. This charge can be used in turn to power an electric devise, depending on the amount of movement and kinetic energy exerted.
The aim was to create eye catching jewellery that is made of ethically sourced materials and contributes to the movement towards sustainable products and energy production.
